Co-hosted by Women’s Ordination Conference and Catholics for Choice, “How the Catholic Church uses ‘Gender Ideology’ to Threaten Human Rights” will examine how the Catholic hierarchy’s battle against “gender ideology” is a war of their own making — one that began with the Holy See’s presence in Beijing in 1995. It will expose claims about the supposed threat of “gender ideology” for what they are: an attempt to exploit religious beliefs to gain political power and to deny fundamental rights.

This parallel event is part of the “UN Commission on the Status of Women” meetings in New York.
