Columbus Coalition for the Homeless invites you to participate in an educational program about LGBTQ+ Youth and Homelessness. This webinar will occur on Friday, February 18, 3-4:30pm.

Course Description

The program will explore factors that contribute to homelessness for youth who identify as LGBTQ+ and provide data and background information to highlight the issue. Youth will talk about their experiences with homelessness and share some of their unique strengths and challenges. The webinar will also provide recommendations to help meet the needs of youth more effectively in the future. The agenda will include the following.

• An Overview of LGBTQ+ Youth Homelessness

• Panel Discussion: LGBTQ+ Youth with Lived Experience of Homelessness

• Recommendations for Systems and Communities

Continuing Education Units

The Columbus Coalition for the Homeless has applied for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) with the National Association of Social Workers Ohio Chapter; approval is pending for social workers. A total of 1.5 CEUs will be provided for social workers in Ohio who participate.
