On Thursday, May 13, at 7pm, we’ll have our second screening of this series featuring “Obvious Child.”

This romantic comedy follows the story of Donna, who gets pregnant and attempts to schedule her abortion at a local Planned Parenthood clinic — only to discover that the only available appointment is on Valentine’s Day.

For too long, Hollywood has been offering up either the tragic abortion narrative or the implausible motherhood story without giving the abortion caper its due. “Obvious Child” makes this heretofore-untold tale look like a piece of cake.
