Thursday, April 27, 12:30pm, Trinity Episcopal Church on Capitol Square, 125 E. Broad St.
Anti-voter Ohio House members are planning to undermine the sacred principle of one person, one vote, take away our freedom and rights, and give special interests, lobbyists, and career politicians all of the power.
Let’s show up with our supporters so they understand that we will not stand for this.
We will meet at 12:30pm at Trinity Episcopal Church on Capitol Square, 125 E. Broad St.; we will then march over to the House Chamber so we can make it clear that we stand together to defend democracy. We expect the House to vote on HJR1 [that would require a 60% vote to approve any voter-initiated Ohio Constitutional amendment] during the 2pm session. Please bring a snack and some water, but pack light so that you can get through security smoothly. You’ll receive instructions at the church.
Parking may be available under the Ohio Statehouse and there are other public garages nearby. You may also be able to use this link to find street parking in downtown Columbus.
Hosted by League of Women Voters of Ohio, Ohio Conference AAUP [American Association of University Professors], SPAN [Single Payer Action Network] Ohio, Common Cause Ohio, Ohio Voter Rights Coalition, and ACLU of Ohio.
