On January 25th, Alabama may make history with the scheduled execution of Kenny Smith using a new, never-before-used experimental method of execution — smothering using nitrogen gas. What’s worse is that this will be the second time that Kenny Smith will be in the execution chamber in 15 months — an outrage in and of itself. In November, 2022, they could not get an IV started, and after hours of trying, they sent him back to his cell, still alive. Now they want to try again using an experimental method? It’s torture!
