Thursday, May 14, 9:30am-1pm, Ohio Statehouse
Join us for Brain Injury Awareness Day, March 14, 2024, at the Ohio Statehouse!
It is time for the General Assembly to address the shortage of services for individuals with brain injury in Ohio. 1.9 million adult Ohioans have experienced a traumatic brain injury in their lifetime.
The current level of state-supported funding to provide community-based brain injury services in Ohio is $550,000 or 5 cents per resident. Compared with our neighboring states, we are grossly underfunded.
We are asking the General Assembly to invest in services and a coordinated system of care for the brain injury community. This funding is critical to help survivors navigate care, access services, and reach a greater level of independence.
Help us to increase the services available and the network of support for the Ohio brain injury community.
