INDRA (Intersectional Non-conforming Diverse Renaissance of Asians) is OPAWL’s new LGBTQ+ caucus, focusing on community, solidarity, and queer/trans/non-binary representation for AAPI communities throughout Ohio.

INDRA will host an in-person Ohio Queer AAPI Open Mic Night on Thursday, April 14th, 5:30-7:30pm, for LGBTQ+ AAPIs to be in community with one another in light of the increased violence against our Asian elders and trans siblings across the nation. We wish for this event to be a Renaissance, if only for two hours, to bask in the power and vibrance of our strength through creativity, expressing our diverse lived experiences as queer AAPIs. We hope for a renewal of spirit and healing in conjunction with the beginning of springtime in Ohio.
