Wednesday, June 21, 10am-2am, The Village of Plain City, 800 Village Blvd., Plain City, Ohio

MORPC invites local governments in the Central Ohio Area to a forum on how to attract new housing to their community.

The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) is Central Ohio’s regional council with over 85 local governments and community partners. We take pride in bringing communities of all sizes and interests together to collaborate on best practices and plans for the future growth and sustainability of our region.

We are pleased to host a forum for our rural members located in Central Ohio on how to attract new housing options. Ideal participants include elected officials and local government staff responsible for community planning. Each community will have an opportunity to meet with prospective housing site selectors to discuss the variables needed to attract this investment. Participants are encouraged to bring their planning maps. Lunch will be provided.

Preserving the town’s unique assets while planning for a sustainable future are topics to be addressed. Communities will learn about tools and resources to help in this process. MORPC will provide an update on regional initiatives underway to plan for the expected population growth.
