Gulcin Ozer was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey. After graduating from college with a computer engineering degree, she came to the United States, along with her husband and their little son, to pursue postgraduate education at The Ohio State University. Their initial intention was just to stay for two years and to return to their academic positions back in Turkey. Fast forward seventeen years, today, they have been residents of Worthington for fourteen years, they have two more kids, and their “little son” is a freshman at OSU!

Dr. Gulcin Ozer is a research assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at the OSU Wexner Medical Center. She completed her Ph.D. and postdoctoral training at OSU. Her research interests are development and application of computational methods to address problems in biomedical research.

She has been a member of the Worthington Interfaith Neighbors [WIN] Leadership Team since 2016.

All are welcome. There is no charge for this program.
