Most Americans say that companies should publicly support LGBTQ+ communities, a GLAAD survey finds. In recent years, the rainbow wave during Pride Month has swept across companies, big and small, signifying support for LGBTQ+ communities. However, these gestures often fall short of genuine support, or businesses often receive backlash and revert their initiatives, leaving many to question the depth and sincerity of allyship.
“Rainbow washing” or “pinkwashing” has become a call for action, urging companies to do more than just change their logos and instead create initiatives to support employees and consumers. With 437 anti-LGBTQ+ bills introduced in the U.S., communities face increased discrimination, especially in workplaces and healthcare settings. As mental health concerns continue to rise in adults and youth, how are companies answering the call?
Join us for an insightful webinar as we explore how some companies are implementing programming and services while highlighting ways corporations can go beyond surface-level gestures and make a lasting impact on LGBTQ+ inclusion in healthcare, the workplace, and/or in communities.
