Thursday, October 3, 8:30pm, this on-line event requires advance registration
Join the Virtual Kickoff of the “Teach-In Network: Educating to Empower and Inspire Collective Action” on Thursday, October 3 at 8:30pm.
We’re excited to be launching the Teach-In Network, providing resources to support activism on and off campuses, educating and organizing to challenge “the madness of militarism,” as Martin Luther King Jr. called it.
We’re starting with a free, live, online event. On this webinar, we’ll be joined by expert speakers and discuss ways you can get involved. The Teach-In Network is an initiative of RootsAction Education Fund; this virtual event is in partnership with World Beyond War, with more organizations to be added.
Let’s unite to empower our grassroots movements with knowledge and action. Sign up here for the October 3 livestream.
More About the Teach-In Network:
For generations, teach-ins have combined with direct action to propel movements for peace and social justice.
From the era of the Vietnam War . . .
To the 1980s struggle to end apartheid in South Africa . . .
To protests against Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza.
If you’re interested in participating, click here to sign up for updates about online toolboxes and other resources.
We’re building a roster of dynamic expert speakers for both on-the-ground and virtual teach-ins. The Teach-In Network website makes it easy for you to quickly tell us what you’re planning and how we can help.
Let’s work together! Knowledge is power — and our grassroots movements need both.
