Join the Ohio Environmental Council on Thursday, July 27 at 3pm for an “all hands on deck” meeting of Ohio’s environmental movement. We’ll be welcoming Ohio House Minority Leader Allison Russo to discuss the significance of Issue 1 in our fight for a healthy environment here in Ohio. We’ll contextualize Issue 1 historically, and how it is attempting to circumvent over a century of direct democracy in Ohio.

Our ability to fight for the healthy environment all Ohioans deserve is on the ballot this August. Issue 1 makes it harder for Ohio voters to fight for clean land, air, and water through any future ballot initiatives. It makes it harder for Ohioans to rewrite past injustices, like our unconstitutional, gerrymandered district maps. And Issue 1 shreds our constitution, ending majority rule in Ohio, undermining the sacred principle of “one person, one vote.”

We need “all hands on deck” between now and August 8, and we know that Ohioans like you are up for the fight!
