On February 27, we’re hosting a webinar with Dr. Alice Rothchild who will give an update on the health and human rights consequences of the ongoing war in Gaza.
Author, filmmaker, and physician Alice Rothchild has traveled to Gaza four times, the last visit in August 2023. In this online Zoom webinar, Alice will give a brief background on Gaza and then a detailed description of the current destruction of much of the infrastructure and health care system and the impact on civilians in the war.
Dr. Alice Rothchild is focused on human rights and social justice. She writes and lectures widely, authored several books on health and human rights in Israel/Palestine, including and Condition Critical: Life and Death in Israel/Palestine, contributed to a number of anthologies, the most recent being Reclaiming Judaism from Zionism: Stories of Personal Transformation and What Jerusalem Means to Us: Jewish Reflections and Perspectives. She is a member of Jewish Voice for Peace Health Advisory Council, the mentor liaison for We Are Not Numbers, a program for young Gaza writers, and on the board of the Gaza Mental Health Foundation. She was last in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza in August 2023.
