Join the OEC’s team of experts to learn more about how you can get involved in advocacy to protect our environment. Designed to complement our new Advocacy Toolkit, these trainings will help you understand some key parts of successful advocacy. These virtual training sessions will take place on three different days through the coming weeks.
“What’s in a Law: How to Understand Legislation and the Ohio Code”
The legislation passed at the Statehouse can be hard to decipher. Understanding the laws that make up the Ohio Code is a critical part of advocating for our environment. Learn more about how the Ohio Code works and how to read proposed legislation from the Statehouse. Featuring special guest Rachel Coyle from Innovation Ohio and the “How Things Work at the Ohio Statehouse” Facebook group, together we’ll cut through the jargon and legalese to dig into what makes up the laws in our state.
