Rev. Abhi Janamanchi is a member of the RFPUSA Steering Committee and currently serves as the Senior Minister of Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Bethesda, Maryland. Originally from India, he was raised in the Brahmo Samaj, a liberal Hindu reform movement. Abhi holds a degree in physics and pursued graduate studies in quantum physics and electronics. He graduated from Meadville Lombard Theological School in 1998. Abhi served congregations in Clearwater, Florida, Madison, Wisconsin, and Park Forest, Illinois. For over three decades, Abhi has been actively engaged in international interfaith and multicultural initiatives. His Unitarian Universalist-Hindu faith, combined with his Indian heritage and American citizenship, serves as sources of inspiration and guidance in both his personal and ministerial life.
