Saturday, March 24, 12:30-2:30 pm, Columbus Metropolitan Library, 96 S. Grant Ave.

For decades, the economic foundations of our society have been under attack. From welfare, food stamps, healthcare, and Social Security to union bargaining rights and pension plans, programs designed to help poor and working people survive have been systematically dismantled and underfunded. Now that the GOP has passed its massive tax giveaway to the rich, they have already signaled that they will gut social programs in the name of deficit reduction. We’re told that the cost of caring for our most vulnerable is too high, but in this session, we will discuss how we can pay for economic justice. The answer may not be as complex as you think.

Organized by Columbus Democratic Socialists of America, who welcome Dr. Fadhel Kaboub, Associate Professor of Economics at Denison University and President of the Binzagr Institute for Sustainable Prosperity as our special presenter.

Hosted by Columbus Democratic Socialists of America [DSA].
