The Annual Black Columbus Family Reunion

“We’re Back”! The Black Columbus Family Reunion is an annual two-day cultural experience held every September the weekend after Labor Day. Our purpose is to reinforce the historic strengths, traditions, and values of our community.

For the first Annual Black Columbus Family Reunion, we are returning home to Franklin Park. From the 1960s to the late 1990s, Black Columbus gathered in Franklin Park as a community and celebrated its Blackness.

Our Mission

The mission of BCFR is to be an entity within the City of Columbus that brings consumers, corporations, and communities together to focus on the historic strengths and values of the African American Family and to showcase and again, reinforce the historic morals of the culture.
