Friday, November 29, 10am-2:30pm, beginning and ending at Goodale Park, 120 W. Goodale St.
Why shop when you can rock on this 50-kilometer journey through Columbus, on the day after Thanksgiving. We’ll be riding major Columbus “cycling-friendly” infrastructure and multi-use paths to get to our varied destinations.
Our first and only philanthropic stop, the Faith Mission. There, we’ll drop off the booty every one of us has brought for them. Please see what you can bring here.
Up a major backbone of the city; eleven miles later, we arrive at the Usonian homes of Rush Creek. Read about that here.
We’ll take a break for bathroom and refreshment in historic Worthington, followed by our 19-mile descent to and along the Olentangy and into its convergence with the Scioto. Along that route, we get to revisit the Overbrook, and Walhalla, and the ancient trees and terrain who offer their late fall beauty. On to the top of the National Veteran’s Memorial and Museum. A four-mile capper lets us tie it up back to Goodale Park. The route is here.
Come and enjoy the beauty that a bicycle can bring to your view of Columbus.
Helmets and locks are recommended.
