Tuesday, May 22, 8-10pm, Art Outside the Lines, 485 E. Livingston Ave.

This will be our last spoken word before Community Pride!

Stonewall Columbus’ Pride isn’t safe for Queer and Trans People of Color [QTPOC], so Black Queer and Intersectional Columbus [BQIC] and our partners are creating Columbus Community Pride to return Pride to its original radical legacy. In order to grow the promise of liberation for QTIPOC [Queer, Trans, and Intersectional People of Color] in Central Ohio and beyond, we must create space outside of white, cis, ableist corporate Prides. Join us for “Speak Up!,” our biweekly spoken word/open mic night to raise funds for Community Pride!!

We ask for suggested donations of $5-10 at the door! We are also taking donations of food and alcohol to redistribute to people for suggested donations.

We will have the fabulous Monee Jae to M.C. this event and get things started! We will have D.J. Tron to spin so we can dance during the night!

Sign up when you walk in to share your talent!

Show your support by showing up and sharing this event! Can’t come but still want to help out? Donate to Community Pride at gofundme.com/columbus-community-pride-2018.

This spoken word is a safe space; we will not tolerate racism, hate, transphobia, homophobia or any other form of discrimination.

Hosted by Black Queer and Intersectional Columbus [BQIC].
