The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Ohio) is excited to host our annual banquet, an inspiring gathering dedicated to advancing justice, protecting civil rights, and empowering American Muslims across Ohio. This year, we invite you to stand with us as a sponsor and support our mission to uplift voices and advocate for equity in our communities.

Join over 500 community members, Muslim leaders, government officials, and activists from across Ohio and beyond in celebrating CAIR-Ohio’s ongoing work. Our banquet offers a unique platform to show your commitment to justice and solidarity with the American Muslim community.

The Honorable Cori Bush, former Congresswoman for Missouri’s First District, is a lifelong advocate for justice and human rights. A nurse, pastor, and activist, she was a key figure in the Ferguson protests before taking office, where she championed housing security, Medicare for All, and economic justice. In Congress, she became the first Black woman to lead the fight for the Equal Rights Amendment and introduced the Reparations Now Resolution, calling for reparative justice and systemic accountability. She was also a fierce advocate for police accountability and a ceasefire in Gaza, drawing from her frontline activism to push for policies addressing violence and human rights abuses. Her leadership secured historic wins, including a federal eviction moratorium that kept millions in their homes.

As founder of Politivist Action PAC and Politivist Power, Cori continues as a drum major for justice. Through her “Movement for Freedom” campaign, she unites people against systemic injustice with direct action, organizing, and coalition building. Born from her journey as an activist turned politician, Cori calls on everyday people to reclaim power from oligarchs and oppression. She lives knowing that “our freedom is not a gift bestowed by those in power; it is a fire that we kindle together,” and continues to push for systemic change on every platform.
