Clintonville Farmers’ Market will host a concert by “Anna & the Consequences,” at the market’s first benefit event, 7-10PM Thursday June 26 at India Oak Bar and Grill. The event’s theme is “Help us Help Families and Seniors Shop at our Market.” Proceeds will provide $50 market vouchers for low income senior clients of the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center and help families receiving assistance stretch their shopping dollars at the market. CRC’s senior “To Market to Market” 2014 program has a waiting list; proceeds from the benefit will go first to make sure every senior is served. The board of directors of the Clintonville Farmers’ Market has also agreed to issue vouchers to families who need assistance to purchase the high quality, fresh and nutritious food that farmers and producers bring to the market every Saturday and, from June 18 through August 20, each Wednesday afternoon 4-7. In addition to the music June 26, the evening will include a 50-50 raffle, T-shirt sales and specials on several draft beers. A minimum $10 contribution is requested from participants with proceeds.
