Wednesday, February 1, 12noon-1pm, Grange Insurance Audubon Center, 505 W. Whittier St.; this event will also be live-streamed on YouTube

Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor completed her term on Ohio’s Supreme Court on December 31 and stepped down as Ohio’s longest-serving statewide elected woman. Her time on the court ends in the middle of Ohio’s contentious and historic battle over gerrymandered electoral districts and a looming flight over how voters can approve amendments to the state’s constitution. O’Connor has served in statewide offices since 1998, and endured calls for her impeachment from the Republican party after she sided with Democrats in the state’s ongoing redistricting debate.

Join the Columbus Metropolitan Club and host Yvette McGee Brown, Partner, Jones Day, and Former Justice, The Supreme Court of Ohio, for a conversation with O’Connor, reflecting on her long service to Ohio and what the future might hold for voters, the state’s Constitution, and Ohio’s highest court.

We will be temporarily holding our weekly forums at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center, (which has free on-site parking), and serving box lunches. This change in venue is due to remodeling at The Boat House at Confluence Park due to water damage from a ruptured sprinkler head during the holiday cold snap.

Please register to attend “in person” or to purchase a virtual seat [it is possible to register to attend virtually without paying a fee], to submit questions for the questions-and-answer period, and to receive updates about panelists and upcoming forums.
