Saturday, September 9, 7am, Wolfe Park, 105 Park Dr. [southeast of the corner of E. Broad St. and Alum Creek]

The Columbus Undies Run is a 5K and clothing drive to help those in need in the Columbus area. It is an unconventional yet fun way to really personify the saying “give the shirt off your back.” This year, we are proud to partner with The Open Shelter.

The Columbus Undies Run is raising money and collecting clothing donations for The Open Shelter. The Open Shelter provides, directly or by referral, emergency shelter and assistance for homeless and marginally-housed persons in Central Ohio, especially the most vulnerable among them, and to provide, directly or by referral, coordinated, supportive services, and transitional and/or permanent housing, enabling homeless and marginally-housed persons to achieve maximum participation in the community.

Participants are to come dressed but before the race begins, those willing are asked to remove their articles of clothing down to the undies! The clothes removed will then be washed and donated to our benefiting organization! Acceptable undies include Compression Shorts, Sports Bras, and Speedos. Clothing donations from non-participants are of course welcome!

There will be one water stop along the route that you will pass twice. The course will be closed to vehicular traffic (while on park roads) but will be open to non-race pedestrian and bicycle traffic. Please stay to the right at all times on the pathways and do not block the paths while running or walking in groups. Due to insurance regulations and for the safety of all participants, pets, in-line skates, skateboards, hoverboards, and participating on bicycles are all strictly prohibited. Participating with strollers is fine; we do ask that you line up at the back at the start.
