on’t miss Columbus’ hottest wintertime dance party! Columbus Recreation and Parks Department is kicking off the start of winter by hosting WinterFest Columbus at Bicentennial Park along the Scioto Mile on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. This free event draws thousands of people downtown to enjoy music, seasonal craft beers, hot cocktails, food trucks and fun activities for all ages.
“Columbus is all about community, and there’s no better way to kick off winter than gathering with your neighbors to enjoy some great food, amazing music and taking in downtown festivities,” said Bernita A. Reese, M.S., CPRP, director of Columbus Recreation and Parks Department. “WinterFest Columbus is a celebration of what makes Columbus great—the food, the music and our community!”
Columbus residents will want to dance all day long to live performances by RJD2 (with live band), Wave Magnetik and Damn Girl.
Attendees ages 21 and older can enjoy seasonal craft beers from Ohio breweries. You can also stay warm at WinterFest Columbus by enjoying a hot bourbon chai cider made with Middle West Spirits’ Straight Wheated Bourbon and Simple Times Mixers’ chai apple mule. Refreshing Pepsi products will also be available.
WinterFest Columbus will also feature some of Columbus’ favorite food trucks, such as Cousins Maine Lobster, Fat Kid Burgers, Fun'l Frenzy, Grilled Cheese Gangsters, Mustafa's Halal Gyro, Ninja Bowl, Pitabilities and Travelin' Tom's Coffee.
WinterFest Columbus is a family-friendly event that includes fun seasonal activities for all ages, including a mechanical reindeer and cornhole.
