Based on the popular “hUmAn connection” Facebook series, Equal UA and the Upper Arlington Public Library invite you to come and walk in someone else’s shoes for a morning. This moderated panel discussion will spotlight the challenges, victories, stories, and personal journeys of Upper Arlington residents from all walks of life. Join us for this interactive conversation with the goal of promoting an inclusive climate within our community.

This month’s topic: “The Impact of the Matthew Shepard Case: A Conversation”

We will be focusing on the impacts of the Matthew Shepard case on the LGBTQ community. Matthew Shepard was brutally murdered on October 6, 1998 as the victim of an anti-gay hate crime. Participants are encouraged to watch the documentary, Matt Shepard is a Friend of Mine, before this session.

Equal UA is able to provide on-site babysitting if needed. Please contact equalupperarlington@gmail.com for additional information.
