This event will be a lively program of traditional African-American music, African music, and Western classical music.

Urban Strings, founded in 2007, is a Central Ohio-based community youth orchestra of serious, young, talented musicians from Columbus city, charter, suburban, and private schools. Urban Strings performs a multicultural repertoire of great music ranging from classical, jazz and gospel, to R&B, and movie themes.

The James Preston Poindexter Foundation, an Ohio not-for-profit, envisions using the last two remaining buildings of historic Poindexter Village to be the unique showcase for the preservation of African-American documents, culture and traditions in Columbus, Ohio.

There will be a $10.00 per person fee for all 13 and above; those under 13 are free.
