Tuesday, March 19, 11am-2pm, Ohio Statehouse [Rm. 116]

The next hearing on the six-week abortion ban is on Tuesday, March 19. This hearing will be for testimony from the bill sponsor and anti-abortion witnesses who support the bill. Senator Kristina Roegner will tell the committee about her plan to effectively end abortion access, with no exceptions for rape, incest, or to adequately protect the health of the woman.

We need to show strong opposition to this abortion ban. The committee hearing is a free, public event. Please attend if you can. Best parking option: https://goo.gl/maps/U4HueeAxiJt . Building entrances have metal detectors and x-ray for bags. Signs are not permitted inside the Statehouse.

Once a woman has made the decision to end a pregnancy, she needs access to safe, legal abortion care in her community. This bill would effectively outlaw abortion and criminalize physicians. Over twenty-thousand people choose to have an abortion in Ohio each year, and seven in ten Americans support legal access to abortion care. Banning women from getting a medical procedure is dangerous and out of touch with Ohio values.

Hosted by NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio, Women Have Options - Ohio, Ohio Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, and New Voices Cleveland.
