Saturday, March 12, 12noon-3pm, Columbus Metropolitan Library [Parsons Branch], 1113 Parsons Ave. [this event will also be occurring via Zoom]

The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called “Going to HCCO” and we still like to think of it as our flagship event.

For our February meeting (when we will also celebrate Darwin Day!), we welcome back Dale Gnidovec, Curator of the Orton Geological Museum at the Ohio State University! Dale will speak on the presentation of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals in the Jurassic Park films. The animals are very lifelike, but how scientifically accurate are they? This talk discusses what the filmmakers got right and what they got wrong.

Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. You can meet us in-person or attend online.

The formal presentation will start at noon, with pizza and beverages available at 11:30 a.m. Note: all COVID protocols (including masking) will be observed when not eating.

Please use this Zoom link to join this event.

Hosted by Humanist Community of Central Ohio.
