Saturday, July 12, 12noon-2pm, Columbus Metropolitan Library [Parsons Branch], 1113 Parsons Ave. [this event will also be occurring via Zoom]
Christian Nationalism is no longer at the fringes of our political process. It is embodied by Cabinet Secretaries, congressional leadership, and a loud and powerful groundswell that is controlling not just the public narrative, but our rights to live free from discrimination and harm. The American Humanist Association’s and Center for Freethought Equality’s policy and political director, Rachel Deitch, will briefly discuss what we are seeing in Washington before discussing in greater detail what we — the American Humanist Association, humanist communities, and concerned individuals — can and should be doing about it from an advocacy and policy perspective.
Food and drinks will be provided at this event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk.
