This month’s program: “Your Life On Stories”

Our lives are so saturated by stories that it can be difficult to recognize just how dependent we are on them. They’re how we communicate our history, news, and even the events of our day. They’re how we entertain each other, teach our children, express ourselves, and (for some of us) make a living.

As we think critically about the existence of stories and the role they play in our lives, a deep and meaningful mystery begins to reveal itself.

If we as human beings are the result of unguided evolution, then stories are an organic outgrowth of that process as well. They must, therefore, perform some sort of key function for human survival, embody an evolutionary advantage, and help us live our lives in some fundamental way.

Join HCCO and Nathan B. Weller as we explore the mystery of storytelling and Nathan shares his thoughts on how to lead an enriched life through a deeper understanding of stories.

Join us at 12:30pm for pizza in the meeting room; the meeting begins at 1pm.
