Ohio History Connection and Outlook Media invite you to bring in your photos, documents and objects to be digitized for a special LGBTQ Community Day on Saturday, August 20, at the Ohio History Center.
LGBTQ Community Day is a Gay Ohio History Initiative (GOHI) project designed to preserve and share the stories of Ohio’s LGBTQ community by digitizing materials that represent the LGBTQ experience in Ohio. By making an appointment with our curators to scan your items, you can help ensure that your story is preserved for future generations. Registrations start on June 20!
This special day is free, open to the public and will include:
• A display of current GOHI collection items
• Exhibitors from other Ohio LGBTQ organizations
• Special curator talks
• Living history performances
• Hands-on activities for families
LGBTQ Community Day is a project of the Gay Ohio History Initiative. GOHI was established by Ohio History Connection and Outlook Media to preserve and share the history and culture of Ohio’s LGBTQ citizens. This event is sponsored by the Ohio History Connection, Outlook Media, and the Common Heritage Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
