Monday, May 1, 9am-8pm, four different times and locations in Columbus
The Central Ohio Worker Center is hosting its fifth annual May Day celebration. This year, we will show that Columbus is a #SolidarityCity by standing with immigrants, workers, and students fighting for justice. City officials and corporate leaders continually refer to Columbus, Ohio as an “#OpportunityCity” while we know that opportunities are only available for the few; low-wage workers, people of color, and others from front-line impacted communities are left out.
Schedule
9am: “Un Dia Sin Inmigrantes” March and Rally, Genoa Park, 300 W. Broad St.
10:30am: Rally at Ohio Statehouse
2pm: “History of May Day and the Struggles of Immigrants in Columbus,” 014 University Hall, 230 N. Oval Mall
5pm: May Day March and Cookout, CWA 4501 Hall, 27 Euclid Ave.
Sponsored by Central Ohio Worker Center.
