Thursday, November 1, 8pm, King Avenue 5, 945 King Ave.

This is our Ninth Annual Southside Community Ministries [SSCM] Food Pantry Benefit Concert.

Come to King Avenue 5 at 8pm on November 1 for a wonderful night of music. It’s a “Pass the Hat” event and every dollar donated provides $8 of food to Columbus, Ohio southside families in need.

This year’s concert will feature the much-loved New Basics Brass Band, a New Orleans style group that will lift your spirits and make you want to dance. The second set will be another great treat. Columbus Soul and Salvage will give their debut performance of classic R&B tunes. Created in response to the divisive energies of the times, its founder, Guitar House Workshop’s John Bolzenius, decided he “wanted to pump a little love into the world.” If you aren’t already on your feet, you will be when Columbus Soul and Salvage is done with you.
