The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency will be holding a public hearing on the proposed Perry State Forest coal mine on Tuesday, October 2 at 6pm at New Lexington High School.

If you can only do one thing to protect the Perry State Forest, make it attending and commenting at this meeting! It is essential that we send a strong message to the State that the public cares about Perry State Forest.

During the hearing, the OEPA will accept oral and written comments. Comments may also be submitted through October 9 by email and mail: <epa.dswcomments@epa.ohio.gov> or Ohio EPA-DSW, Attn: Permits Processing, P.O. Box 1049, Columbus, OH 43216-1049. Be sure to include “public notice no. 18-08-037” with all comments.
