Sunday, January 15, 1-4pm; gathering on Washington Blvd. [near COSI] between W. Broad St. and W. Town St.; marching to the Ohio Statehouse

Please join us in the Ohio effort of the Women’s March on Washington. We will be hosting an Ohio Sister March on January 15th, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio. We have secured our permits with the Columbus Police Department and will be marching down Broad St. to the Ohio Statehouse. We have also secured permits to the grounds of the Ohio Statehouse to carry out our “Pinning Ceremony” and to invite all our marchers to participate another national demonstration called “Circle the City with Love.” We will circle the Statehouse in a demonstration of unity and intentional silence for 30 minutes. The focus of this rally will be on how to protect our healthcare systems and organizations amidst the Republican attacks on these organizations, and healthcare policies, and how these issues directly intersect with women’s rights.

Thanks to the fiscal support of our members and our sponsors, this will be a free rally event but we do have a limited capacity of 650 people. We are asking that people who want to join us stop by the Sheraton (on State St. — where the rally will take place) to register for the event, before the march, between 8:30am and 12:00pm. We will be issuing wristbands for the people who pre-register. If we have any available spots left after the march we will have a registration table at the door but we do encourage you all to pre-register to ensure your admittance.
