Friday, February 26, 7pm, Maynard Ave. United Methodist Church, 2350 Indianola Ave.

Joel Miller, pastor of Columbus Mennonite Church, will present his reflections on the Palestine and Israel Learning Tour that he attended last November. This presentation will include pictures, story-telling, and an interactive time of questions and discussion.

During this tour, the group “encountered Palestinians living at the edge of bearable existence, experiencing night home raids, encroaching Israeli settlements, the trespassing and expanding separation wall, checkpoints, home demolitions, imprisonment of children, racial profiling, limited access to water, and a tangle of laws limiting mobility and economic opportunity.” They also “spoke with Israelis who see the injustice for what it is and are working to educate Israeli society about the plight of Palestinians, calling for an end to military occupation of Palestinian land.”

All are welcome; a reception will follow the presentation.
