Thursday, January 14, 6pm, this event will be live-streamed on “Facebook Live”

Religious Freedom remains a cherished, founding principle of our country. While it is intended to protect all people in their religious beliefs and practices, a basic element — often ignored — is that Religious Freedom is both freedom “of” as well as freedom “from” religion.

Yet some do harm in the name of religious freedom, with real impacts on the lives of our nation’s people. They inappropriately try to use it to justify discrimination against LGBTQ+ people and others, to criticize people who adhere to faith practices that they don’t like, to diminish and threaten people with secular or atheistic views, and to impede people’s reproductive rights and freedoms.

Join us for a Religious Freedom Day event where leaders from faith and secular institutions lift up the true meaning of religious freedom.

This event will be live-streamed on “Facebook Live.”

Hosted by National LGBTQ Task Force, Faith in Public Life, American Atheists, and Ohio Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice.
