Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12, 12noon-4pm, Columbus downtown riverfront [in conjunction with Columbus Arts Festival]
Riverfest is a celebration of water, Ohio’s greatest resource. The purpose of Riverfest is to educate the public about the vital role that waterways play in the region. By interacting with waterways and offering canoe and kayak paddles, people of all incomes and ages can develop a lifelong appreciation for this resource.
Come join us for a celebration of our region’s water resources along the Scioto River in Downtown Columbus. Riverfest will take place, in conjunction with the Columbus Arts Festival, June 11-12, 12noon-4pm.
Bring your family and friends and spend Saturday with us canoeing and kayaking along the Scioto River. On Sunday, watch a decorated boat float or transform your self-powered watercraft into a work of art by joining us for the inaugural MORPC Columbus Arts Festival Boat Show.
These activities demonstrate how water can be fun while emphasizing the importance of preserving this vital resource. Take the time this summer to get outdoors and learn how to enjoy and respect our waterways.
