Riverfest has provided thousands of people with the opportunity to kayak and canoe on area rivers over the years. In 2017, more than 500 people with different backgrounds and experience levels had participated in this two-day event.

Along with helping people to feel more comfortable taking part in water-related activities, Riverfest provides an opportunity to educate local residents on the importance of our region’s waterways and how to help protect and conserve those precious resources.

The 2019 Riverfest will take place in conjunction with the Columbus Arts Festival [June 7-9, along the Scioto Mile, Columbus’ signature riverfront park; and in front of COSI, the Center of Science and Industry]. Participation is free and on a first-come, first served basis.

The activities will take place at the following times:

• Sunday, June 9, 10am-4pm
