Wednesday, September 16, 7pm, this on-line event requires advance registration

Learn the backstory of low-power FM radio in Columbus. Are you listening to 92.7 or 98.3 or 94.1? Are you streaming WCRSFM.org or WGRN.org? Find out about locally-produced shows and national programs syndicated by Pacifica Radio, and the best progressive Talk Radio Shows. Share your favorite music genre, news, comedy, and environmental programs and podcasts! And find out what you’ve been missing from the people who make the station happen!

• Meet Robb Ebright, board chair of the Neighborhood Network (the license holder of WCRS-LP), who has been involved with the stations for over a decade back when it was still run by Simply Living. Robb is one of the primary coordinators of the all-volunteer-run station and also helps to maintain and build the tech-stack that keeps the station on the air — no small task!

• Meet Suzanne Patzer. You may know her as the editor of the Columbus Free Press with Bob Fitrakis, but Suzanne plays a key role in managing WGRN and developing local programming.

More volunteers will be joining us for this event.

If you are just discovering these community gems, you will be amazed at the diversity of programming available.

If you already listen, please join us and share your favorite shows.

• Comedian Jimmy Dorr?

• Carolyn Harding’s “Grassroot Ohio” interviews?

• “Bob’s Basement Jazz”?

• The “Other Side of the News,” with Bob Fitrakis?

• “For a Green Future”?

• “When the Biomass Hits the Wind Turbine,” with Annie and Jay Warmke of Blue Rock Station’s Sustainability Center?

When you share your favorite music genre, news show, comedy, environmental programs and podcasts, everyone learns!

Register on Eventbrite to receive the Zoom link. You may choose either a free ticket or a donation ticket and pay whatever amount you wish. Updates will be available on Facebook and Meetup.
