Sunday, September 17, 7-8pm, Columbus Mennonite Church, 35 Oakland Park Ave.

Edith Espinal is a mother of three and a long-time front-runner fighter for immigrant rights. She has made Columbus, Ohio her home for over 20 years, living in the U.S. with her son for nine years before being placed in removal proceedings and taking voluntary departure in 2009.

A few years later, in 2013, Edith protested U.S. immigration policies at the U.S.-Mexico border in Nuevo Laredo with DREAM30 and was paroled into the United States and placed in removal proceedings. Her family has been publicly involved in the struggle to pass comprehensive immigration reform on nationwide television. Edith has also been a member of the Central Ohio Worker Center. She and her family have been on the streets fighting, marching, and speaking for immigrant justice. Now, it’s time for us to show up for her and her family.

ICE is tearing apart Edith’s family and her community by targeting someone who will fight for herself and her people. Let’s show Edith that she’s not alone.

Hosted by Solidarity with the Edith Espinal.
