Ohio is recognized as the first state to enact legislation identifying December 1 as Rosa Parks Day. To honor this remarkable woman, the Central Ohio Transit Authority [COTA] and The Ohio State University join Congresswoman Joyce Beatty, Rosa Parks Day Founder, in hosting the Twelfth Annual Statewide Tribute to Rosa Parks.

We invite you to join us for a very special Community Leaders’ Forum and Panel Discussion on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the Ohio History Center, 800 E. 17th Ave.

• 5:30 p.m.: Community Leaders Forum hosted by Congresswoman Joyce Beatty

• 7:00 p.m.: “Conversations” Panel Discussion: “CommUNITY Through Diversity”

By joining our theater audience for the Panel Discussion, you will hear real-life stories from people who have contributed to the conversation to enrich our community. The Panel features Janet Jackson, President and CEO, United Way of Central Ohio; Jerry Revish, WBNS-10TV News Anchor; and Congresswoman Joyce Beatty, U.S. House of Representatives, 3rd Congressional District.

The panel discussion will begin promptly at 7pm in the Ohio History Center’s Arthur C. Johnson Auditorium. The discussion will be moderated by Sharon Davies, OSU Chief Diversity Officer and Vice Provost for Diversity and Inclusion and Executive Director of the Kirwan Institute at The Ohio State University.
