Our Somali neighbors are experiencing an urgent and escalating situation—and our communities need to be informed, aligned, and ready to act with care, clarity, and solidarity. Join us for a community-wide virtual gathering designed to ground us in what’s happening, hear directly from trusted speakers, and prepare ourselves to respond effectively and safely. During this session, we will:

-Hear a clear, accessible briefing on the current threats and realities facing the Somali community

-Understand the story of now—why this moment matters and what solidarity looks like

-Learn how communities across faiths and racial backgrounds can show up together

-Get oriented to rapid response and safety roles

-Sign up for follow-up trainings and local rapid response teams in your city or neighborhood

This gathering is meant to bring our communities onto the same page, build shared understanding, and equip attendees with the tools needed to protect and support Somali families with dignity and unity.

Who should attend?

-Community members and leaders

-Masajid, churches, synagogues, and civic organizations

-Students, volunteers, and organizers

-Anyone committed to keeping our Somali neighbors safe
