Two Dollar Radio Headquarters on the corner of Parsons Ave and Cline St. (across the street from the new Columbus Metropolitan Library) is one of the latest new vegan businesses to open empowering Columbus towards a rapid vegan shift in consciousness and choices. They are unique in offering “curated books, coffee, booze, yum-yum and culture” in one bright, open, clean and welcoming space.

They keep it interesting by combining standing menu items such as their house-made Pimento Cheese or quiche with a rotating platform for a variety of vegan pop-up businesses – from the long-established to the emerging local vegan entrepreneurs such as Willowbeez Soul Veg, Freaks and Leeks, to Village Taco to name a few.

They have already become an anchor of vegan community events and support by providing artistically inclined and activist audiences with panel discussions, author and poetry readings, pizza party and movie nights and have upcoming exciting opportunities to get involved with the Africa Yoga Project Community Social Fundraiser and the Cbus Library Booksgiving.

Nov 1st is World Vegan Day and vegan empowerment velocity continues to gain momentum in Columbus with other local pop-up vegan food, and cultural varieties to include “Dining In the Dark,” a first-of-its-kind in the local, vegan, 100 percent plant-based dining scene hosted by Griffeth Events, Sobremesa Food Truck and 1400 Food Lab on November 4. Involved are Tofu Louie, The Woodhouse Sisters at OddFellows, Vegan Monday’s at Hadley’s, It’s All Natural Market’s Seasonal Pop-up events and Clintonville Natural Foods healthy educational events. Griffeth Events is also launching a new platform called Blab-Lab Open Mic Live Storytelling with a 6-week series starting this month.
