Why hasn’t the media given the present activities to get a vote recount in Ohio and Florida legs (http://www.gregplast.com)?

Did you realize that the Election 2004 in Ohio and Florida has been seen to be Fraudulent and activities are being conducted to get a recount and investigation of these elections?

AUSTIN, Texas -- "The aide (a senior adviser to President Bush) said that guys like me were 'in what we call the reality-based community,' which he defined as people who 'believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality.' I nodded and murmured something about enlightenment principles and empiricism. He cut me off. 'That's not the way the world really works anymore,' he continued. 'We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality -- judiciously, as you will -- we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors ... and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do." -- Ron Suskind, New York Times Magazine, Oct. 17, 2004.

This is the quote that now has some noted bloggers identifying themselves as, "Proud Member of the Reality-Based Community."

Of all the problems that arise from having an administration that chooses not to believe in reality, the one most likely to have irretrievably disastrous consequences is environmental.

As the whole world watches, American democracy may be hanging by a thread in Ohio.

Just before November 2, Dr. Bob Fitrakis and Harvey Wasserman published "Twelve ways Bush is now stealing the Ohio vote" at freepress.org.

Widely circulated throughout the internet, the piece proved prophetic.  But what really happened in Ohio has been "locked down" by the major media.

If another stolen presidential election slips by undocumented, we can only tremble for the future of American democracy.

Working here in Columbus, we've thoroughly documented the dark corners of this tragic election.  We're now turning it all into the definitive book and documentary film.

To Voters (and Those Who Should have if they didn't),

Due to recent Voter Disparities and Fraud in Columbus/Cleveland Ohio (and elsewhere throughout America) a Congressional Forum was held at Columbus City Council.  Rep John Conyers, Rep Maxine Waters, Rep Stephanie Tubbs Jones, Rev Jesse Jackson, and Rep Ted Strickland came to Columbus to hear Testimonies regarding the Improprieties in the Black neighborhoods.

It was a good turn out (could have and should have been more Black people in attendance).  Rep John Conyers, a long time Fighter, Rev Jesse Jackson (who has been here a couple of times in recent weeks)  and Rep Maxine Waters...a Mighty, Strong Warrior, who continues to Stand Up, Speak Up and Show up for the People, were here to Listen, Ask Questions and Take Notes.  I was glad to see them.  I Appreciate that.

Though, some may say the Election is over, there is nothing that can be done.  But I'm glad there is an investigation.  We can't sweep these things that happened in our Black neighborhoods be swept under the rug.  I Testified and gave a first hand account of what happened to me and my family members.  I was Happy to.

Dear Virginia:

In your letter, you asked me if there really was a Democratic Party. You said that all of your friends have told you it’s a big fat lie, a story that grownups tell little kids so they won’t worry about mean old Republicans who eat children like you. You wrote me also that you have a tough time believing there could ever be a political party that cares about the difference between right and wrong, and wants you to have clean air to breath and pure, fresh water to drink in the middle of the night when you wake up thirsty. And you told me that after listening to President Bush on the TV, you think all that stuff about Democrats who think it is wrong to kill people in countries that haven’t done anything to hurt us is all make-believe, too. After all, you never see those Democrat guys talking back to the President, and telling him he’s bad.

Gary Webb died from a gunshot wound to the head in his home in Sacramento, California. It appears to have been self-inflicted.

Webb was a great reporter out of Indiana, whose best-known work exposed the CIA's complicity in the import of cocaine into the United States in the 1980s, during the U.S. onslaught on the Sandinista government of Nicaragua. His devastating series, "Dark Alliance," published in the San Jose Mercury News in 1996, provoked a series of wild attacks in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and Washington Post, purporting to demolish Webb and exonerate the agency.

If you wish to resist in a nonviolent fashion the deeds of both George W. Bush and those who do his bidding, you have to be prepared.

You have to be prepared to continue speaking out when you see something wrong, whether it is an immoral, evil war in Iraq or the further impoverishment of your fellow citizens here at home. You have to be prepared to do this without hatred, without physical aggression, without name calling, and without exaggeration or outright falsehood. You are the force which preserves truth. And truth is the only thing preventing America from the complete entropy of fascism.

You have to be prepared to hear yourself called traitor, betrayer, an enemy and would-be assassin of your country. You have to do this regardless that your actions and those of your fellow patriots are the only glue holding together the United States of America.
