Looks like the articles really opened a can of worms. As for me it seems that the only  flaw was  the wrong connection of Karl Rove to the  Nazis through relatives. That was a cheap shot. Nazism is a feature of character and  George W. has a nazi streak as is, not because he had some pro- nazi granddad. Everything else in the articles was right on the money.

As for Hitler being a socialist I can only  use the same words as is one of the letters: what a crock. We have so many professors in this world who for a lavish fee will come up with anything. Corporations were always uncomfortable with the Nuremberg discoveries of the alliance between the German big business and Hitler's  regime.  Sorry, folks, der Fuhrer was as much a socialist as George W. is a compassionate conservative. Same myth. Hitler and his henchmen were the  corporate dogs of Death.  We here are right to fear their revival in any form and size. And like it or not, the corporate fascism is on the move here. Just listen to the barking. Panurg
Republicans are at it again: New Bush scam--"letters from Iraq" are mass-produced.....will the press give the administration the hounding it deserves?

Newspapers around U.S. get identical missives from Iraq www.theolympian.com/home/news/20031011/frontpage/121390.shtml

"WASHINGTON -- Letters from hometown soldiers describing their successes rebuilding Iraq have been appearing in newspapers across the country as U.S. public opinion on the mission sours. And all the letters are the same. A Gannett News Service search found identical letters from different soldiers with the 2nd Battalion of the 503rd Airborne Infantry Regiment, also known as "The Rock," in 11 newspapers, including Snohomish, Wash. "

first saw The Olympian article linked at http://legitgov.org/index.html#breaking_news
What the fuck are you people smoking? I've never read a bigger crock of shit in my life. Go crawl back under your rock!!!!!!!!!

OK!  We are fed up with all the Bush bashing that is going on!  Where were you nimrods when Clinton was abusing his office.....narry a word.

Since your article does not come with sources, its just useless vitriol...the paper it is printed on just went into the bottom of my bird cage.

Since the bird just SH** on it, I guess what many of us think of your writings on the subject.

Harvey Wasserman kicked Medved's ass. I had never heard of your website until the interview. Keep up the good work
I absolutely love your work. I link and or put it on all the sites I can cause it causes such a revulson and backlash on those middle american type sites that it in effect advances the conservative causes I believe in. Keep up the "good" work.

Siege Heil: the Bush-Rove-Schwarzenegger Nazi Nexus and the destabilization of California
by Bob Fitrakis and Harvey Wasserman
October 6, 2003

What utter fucking toxic waste. There's so much crap here it's hard to wade through it all.

Reading this you would think Bob Fitrakis and Harvey Wasserman fear being turned into a bar of soap and a lampshade respectively by George W Bush.

Had the authors any knowledge at all, or even a vague memory of the Florida mess, he'd know that elections nationwide are administered at the County level

I see the vile idiots are still repeating the Nazi quote lie even after the NYT corrected the "error".

Sounds like both of Wasserman's parents tested positive on the Wasserman test before and during the pregnancy with him. This vile bile is a definite Wasserman Reaction.

WASSERMAN REACTION. WordNet Dictionary. Definition: [n] a blood test to detect syphilis.

Liberals and Socialists are the closest thing to NAZIS.

Why is it that the jews are so hated? Let me tell you why as one born to this group,I have the answer....Individuals like this wasserman individual who equates strong conservatism with nazis'

If he was the only jew with this inane idealism,I might not understand my own question but one cannot pick up a newspaper, listen to some radio and worst of all all cable television news without hearing the spewing of this junk by a jew. The Holocaust,as horrible as it was,is not the "root of all the evil" in the world, today. When a longtime friend in New York tells me,for instance, that Arnold Sschwartznegger is a nazi sympathizer,I knew her marrying into a jew family and being surrounded with these left leaning democrats would soften her good christian values into the muck of current jewery......

Dear FreePress:

Just wanted you to know that I appreciate your site and often send your articles to friends (linked back to you of course).

My critique of "Stay in Bed" was not intended to disparage your site or the fine work you do -- I just consider it to be an example of shockingly bad writing, that for some reason, never received any editing. Why I do not know.

The rest of your content is excellent.

Best regards, G.

Now that California’s electorate has rewarded a dramatic recall effort, some sequels are likely elsewhere in the near future. It’s a good bet that political operatives in many states will try to learn from this fall’s Golden State extravaganza.

Media strategists were key to the recall drive that ended in triumph for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s savvy corporate backers. So, as a public service, here are some tips for any partisans who want a shot at spinning their way into recall history:

* Do your best to capitalize on smoldering resentments. Don’t bother to illuminate much about the actual underlying causes of social discontent. Try to use citizen outrage as bait to attract the support of talk-show hosts, pundits, ambitious politicians and well-heeled contributors.

Spark plugs for the California recall were happy to vilify Gray Davis as a crafty charlatan and/or incompetent cold fish. The governor made such caricatures easy; he raked in lots of sizeable checks from vested interests and engaged in budgetary sleight of hand. But instead of confronting his deference to energy firms that functioned as rip-off
