William P. Kreml received a BA from Northwestern in 1962 and a JD from Northwestern Law School in 1965. He received a Ph.D. in political science from Indiana University in 1972. He spent the bulk of his career in the Political Science Department at the University of South Carolina. 

 

Kreml has authored nine books on the American government, constitutional law, and political theory. The president of the American Law School Association, Victor G. Rosenblum, described Kreml’s application of cognitive forms to the Constitution as “the most extraordinary theoretical perspective ever lent to the American Constitution.”
